I traveled on this train on 19th January between Madgaon and Udupi. The train was late so I had the opportunity to have dinner from the Pantry Car. The PC serves only vegetarian food. The thali had rice, dal, paneer gravy curry, a mixed vegetable curry (again gravy), 2 thin rotis and curd. The cost was Rs 100. Please do try it during your next trip on this train. It would rank among the top 5 tastiest meals I have had on IR. I was told that the PC is operated by a Bikaner based contractor.

Keep in mind, they only do veggie food, but it was straight fire. I grabbed a thali for 100 Rs which had some bomb rice, dal, paneer gravy, mixed vegetable curry with roti, and a side of curd. You best believe it was in the top 5 meals I've ever had on IR. Apparently, the pantry car is run by some Bikaner dude. Next time you on this train, you gotta check it out!
