for indore pune of 22.4.2010 train starts on day 1 from inodre at 2.00 p.m. and arrives surat on day 2 at 00.07 a.m. .. so if i want tatkal resevation for surat --pune for this train .. when i have to try ... if i try on 20.4.2010 .. i have to take resevation for full journey and if i try on 21.4.2010 for taking reservation for surat pune in tatkal .... train shows reservation full............
train starts on 22nd april... and if we try for tatkal on 20 april for surat -pune we cant get as train arrives on 23rd april at surat..

Jitesh ji, in Tatkal, where only 25% is refunded once booked, I will not prefer to experimentally book and prove. Yet, I have done it in past and if gain a chance, will give you a PNR in future also.
It is on the same lines of general quota reservations where it is 90 days in advance but can be booked from intermediate (where from the train does not depart on the day of originating) stations more than 90 days (91, 92 or so) in advance.

Yet, I have myself witnessed getting in advance for 3 days. I close the issue here for the time being. If get a practicle example in future, shall certainly refer, whether I am proved right or wrong.
