No. Every govt has done this. Railways is something which an Indian is emotionally connected with.Just c if ur city gets a new train u get so much excited ....even tough you might not travel in that train bt u feel happy for ur cities.
Politicians across every govt know this and then they play with our emotions promising things that are either not fisible or would damage the smooth functioning of IndianRailways.
They give rail factories to election bound places they don't think logically ...that factory if set up some where else...

would have been more profitable but just bcoz of election it is given to a place which does not deserve this.Like this there are more.
These Humsafar uday antodaya .....is there any need ??
What is more important Safety or luxury?
What's the point of giving me luxury when u can't guarantee a safe journey every month a derailment occurs.No upgradation of technology to improve safety .But to please ppl they give u Humsafars tejas uday antodaya etc.
Not Modi govt but EVERY government has just used Railways for THEIR benefit and as a result INDIAN RAILWAYS suffers
