Finally something for Karnataka fans to cheer about :)
Here is the first Daily ICE LHB train of SWR and that too for intra - state.

These LHB coaches are really spacious and very comfortable. But I still love the ICF ones where the travelling masses could cram into every nook and corner like on luggage rack over the longer seat in UR coaches :)
The leg room is the best comfort of these coaches. Along with the leg rest and pushback seat, it was a nice relaxing experience. The overhead luggage rack was of transparent plastic type.
The windows though are like JS type, are really good for railfanning with a lot of space between the bars to stick out the phone and click pics :) The glass too looked better with smoother movement than the ones in JS.
Newer type of Emergency handle, I am seeing for first time.
Plastic hooks for curtains, cup holder, single translucent glass for the toilet can be seen in the pics.

People are still in awe of this train. The UR people who try to get into rear GEN coaches are unable to fathom this new train and dont really know whether its reserved or not. So asking on and on, they came to front and finally got in there. Hence front UR coaches were crowded.

For me it was a different experience. I hate the jerks of LHB. But this short ride was smooth. But still I love ICF rides better. The seats were nice and soft, that was better than ICF.

This new line is really lucky.
1. Inaugural usually is with DEMU or Passenger train, But this line got SF.
2. Then a daily pass. then 2 tri-weekly ICEs. Now a 4 days a week Overnight train. Finally that SF is now LHBfied.
