I have heard that the request has been sent by both railways ECR & SER to have separate rakes, but every time it seems this proposal gets rejected by the railway board.
Also Tata needs to have a full fledged washing line/pit line. It is not there as of now and construction is in progress. Maybe once that is over, there could be some chance.

Then hopefully Tata can start exploring newer long distance trains. Over the period of years traffic has increased significantly but full fledged long dist trains could never be started from Tata. They have to rely on SRC/Howrah whereas stations like Rourkela, VSKP, Hatia etc have been able to start trains to long distances
