Nashua NH USA 950 blog postsSomeone mentioned that this Duronto always used to halt at Jabalpur (technically) and now it invariably halts at Madan Mahal. I am sure the first part is not true but how about the 2nd part? Nowadays, does it always halt at Madan Mahal? Or does it mostly skip both Madan Mahal and Jabalpur? On the day I traveled, it halted at Madan Mahal but skipped Jabalpur.
It all depends upon the situation at Jabalpur as Duronto normally skips Jabalpur from Mainline or Platform#1, if both are blocked then train will be regulated at Madan Mahal, otherwise it skips Madan Mahal at decent speed. Out of my 9 times in this train only once it was regulated at Madan Mahal other 8 times it skipped Madan Mahal at a high speed.
It mostly stops at outer signal of Jabalpur Junction for clearance and skips Jabalpur, only once it halted at Jabalpur Junction because of a freight train.
