No, u cant!!!!
How can u ask someone, who has paid for the seat to get up for u????
Instead, if u find any seat vacant, u can use it or request some1 to offer u sitting space!!!

Its for middle berth.
If u have reserved ticket & hold middle or lower berth, then during day time, u can ask the fellow Lower/Middle berth pasenger to let u seat or slide middle berth below!!!

You may have taken a Sleeper ticket, but that does not entitle you to enter a RESERVED coach, unless the TT permits you, and he can permit you only when there is a vacancy.
Note that elsewhere on the blog I have said that Railways "May" allocate sitting accommodation in Sleeper Class/other classes upto capacity.
But that has not been implemented.

having sleeper class does NOT entitle you to enter the Reserved Sleeper compartment wihout the express permission of the TT.
Good wishes.

i) There is no question of asking another passenger for your own reserved seat.
ii) Sleeper berths are for each passenger (6 passengers) under 3-tier sleeper coach and all 6 have sitting rights in the day time on the lower berths....
iii) The railways intention is to provide berth / sleeping accomodation between 9.00 pm and 6.00 am hours only.

What is sleeper ticket ? ... it is sleeper reservation either berth or RAC.
v) If it's not sleeper confirmed or RAC, then it's WL ticket and those WL ticket holders are entitled to travel in unreserved general coach.
vi) You can buy unreserved ticket - General Coach.
