, go near the southern entrance and buy a ticket to bath in the 22 Theerthams inside the temple.
A ticket costs Rs.25 per head.
The 22nd theertham , i.e, the Kodi theertham is considered to be as holy as the ganga river.
After that , visit the temple. Preferably take an archanai ticket and visit the shrine.
Other places to visit are Ramar Padham , Lakshmana theertham and Hanuman temple.
You can also visit Dhanushkodi which is connected by a very narrow strip of land. U can watch the sea both sides.
Also you can visit Dr.Abdul Kalam memorial.
Have a nice vist to Rameshwaram.
