there are lots of name for this one but the most pronounceable is Purani Delhi...
the most famous area near by this is chandani chowk and red fort as both are at few mins away from the station....
Well talking about station tip is that the station is not having good place to spent few hours...

not even upper waiting room, may be this is because that of less number of premium trains and VIP trains from there...
so i will say that u may go to the world famous outlet called Mc Donalds as it open 24 * 7 and it is only safest point at Delhi in my opinion specially in night and specially for the women traveling alone...
there is no limit for waiting period but one thing u can miss is that it dont have toilets facilities inside for that u have to go to upper class waiting room...
and retiring room is also not good
so the Mc D is best place for meals and waiting area :)
