ADRA railway station under SER to undergo redevelopment. The estimated cost for the project is believed to be ₹100 crore. Bokaro station under the same division has already been provided with best in class facilities. Redevelopment of Purulia station has been postponed as various other track works awaits completion.
In redevelopment, the Adra station will be equipped with lifts and escalators. WiFi from RailTel will provide fast internet to travellers. This is the first redevelopment project to be executed by the division. ADRM said," Adra gets 2nd highest number of passenger traffic throughout the year. We will ressurect the station with local traditions and festivals."
