I booked a single ticket for my dad.. And myself with one booked other ticket to reach Maihar in same train in same day... As my ticket is in waiting but dad's ticket is confirmed.. I want to book a double bed room using my dad's ticket... My question is this we will be allowed to enter and take rest in that room or i should book another room after charting..

He will not be allowed on his dad's PNR as the invoice will not have his name mentioned.
What you can do is book another retiring room, as soon as your ticket CNFs or enter RAC (if applicable). Or you can show the id and ask the room attender to permit you in your dad's room. May be you will have to use some unethical methods.
At LKO, I had booked double bedded deluxe AC room on my PNR.
My mother has a different PNR, but we were allowed one PNR.
