Few questions on this train.
1. Did it get E-Loco right from the inaugural run in 1930?
2. Is it the oldest train to run continuously with E-Loco till today?
3. Why just 17 coaches? Due to CSTM PF constraints? Because very less GEN coaches.

Not clear about the first two questions.
But the last one is definitely due to Platform Constraints at Mumbai CSMT. Only 4 platforms at CSMT can handle longer length rakes which are normally filled by other longer distance trains from Hyderabad, Chennai etc.
In fact for quite some time Deccan Queen has been departing from Platform# 5 at Pune Junction which is of Shorter Length.
But the last one is definitely due to Platform Constraints at Mumbai CSMT. Only 4 platforms at CSMT can handle longer length rakes which are normally filled by other longer distance trains from Hyderabad, Chennai etc.
