ErArani^~ 9263 blog postsToday I was doing my Durga Puja return booking for 20th October in 2A of this train. By 7.59 hrs, there were 114 seats showing as usual along with fare of Rs 2900+. But surprisingly, at 8.00 hrs the booking opens with 58 seats and with a fare of Rs 3530. I started booking, all were smooth, but SBI denied to pay. Again tried thinking that there was some problem with initial try in SBI. But, seats were then dropped to 49. This time SBI showed the same. So, I tried with ICICI ( which failed last time this month, that's why I started with SBI today). Anyhow still 45 seats were left. By 8.10 hrs, I was able to book with a toilet side SL berth. Any explanation members would like to give?
It is advised not to book Puja Bookings through IRCTC as it is too likely for the server to be jammed and payments getting failed over and over again
But what was the reason of drop of total seats by 60, at exactly 8.00.00 hrs?
Sir you are lot senior than me. Hope you know that during Puja it takes only 2-3 minutes for the availability to get the status as Regret. As at 0800 hours all PRS and all IRCTC user starts booking all together. So it is very normal for the tickets getting booked in few seconds
I think, it may a bulk booking case. Though that huge no is creating doubt. Otherwise, dot 8 am booking can't be opened with half seats.
