What about Ballari Airport? It was closed I think. Had it reopened?
Ballari airport is small and can't accommodate big flights. It can't be expanded. It is located within Ballari city. Hence it is not used for commercial flights. So New Ballari airport is planned near Siriwara (15 km from Ballari). For more details regarding New Ballari airport click here
Though land is acquired for ballari airport, as per informal sources project is called off
I heard that construction of New Ballari aiport will start after completion Kalaburagi airport by state PWD department. Some minor works might be remaining for Kalaburagi airport. Let's hope for the best
