Shubhankar 5 blog postsGuys, i am going to receive a parcel from my friend in Tiruchchirappalli, by the Balaji Express, in Pune, which is scheduled to arrive at around 16.30.
My problem is that i dont have the railway receipt with me, nor has it been sent with the parcel. ( it is currently in transit through another courier company)
Is there anyway i can claim the parcel today, without the receipt?

ask your friend to scan the receipt and mail to your mail id take that copy print and proceed
pl do post your experience and as to what happened. whether you were able to get delivery w/o RR or what were the alternatives offered. thanks

The problem is that he has already couriered it, without calling me up. So there is no way he can fax it or scan it.

Hi guys
Went to the station, got the fish out on "bail deposit" of Rs.600/-
Have got a receipt from the officials for the amount. The amount will be returned to me when i produce the RR at the station. :)
Luckily, all the officials there were well mannered and surprisingly not at all arrogant.
