An interesting news article where some Loco Pilots describe the horror and trauma they face during and after accidents.
Often in the aftermath of accidents and train run-overs, little attention is given to the plight of the Loco pilots. The chief attention is usually on the victims and the Loco pilots are mostly not even mentioned. of these 'accusers' don't even spare a thought for the LP's own mental health and the kind of trauma they have to endure regularly due to the frequent, avoidable track-side causalities caused in most cases, simply due to people's negligence.
With people paying least attention to their own safety by loitering around railway tracks in dangerous situations, they are not only endangering their own lives, but are also causing irreparable damage to the mental health of the Loco pilots, who already work in extremely stressful conditions and are responsible for the safety of thousands of passengers.
