Already railways have said that there are excess zones/divisions and no new will be formed.......but demands continue.
Similarly all the major states which are having around 20 Lokshabha MP constituency,have to be provided one Zonal Headquarters with North / South / East /West / coastal / central combinations or State Named Zones .
Example. Andhra Pradesh Railway Zone ( APR Zone )
Tamilnadu Railway Zone ( TNR zone )
Kerala Railway Zone ( KER Zone ) etc.
