I don't know who prefers 1AC as flight takes u in below 5 hr with almost with 600 rs less fare.
From cochin its 3 hrs non stop flight with 4700 rs. May be 1AC useful of senior citizens mostly now.

i realize more people will travel if what you say is done. The point is show me the figure work... If there are 500 non rajdhani First AC or First Ac hybrid bogies running and you want to replace them by 500 second AC/Third AC/Sleeper bogies for 2 months in summer...Then where will you get these new 500 coaches from? Will you keep the 500 IAC coach in the shunting yeards for two months? How much will be the increase in revenue foir the railways if this is done? Try answering all these questions....
