Memorable Skips of the 2842 Coromandel Exp. (January 2000) : I could not have asked for a better train for my first Y2K journey - the mighty Coromandel. The train was running on schedule till Visakhapatnam outer but a loco failure delayed it horribly. It never recovered after that and reached Howrah 2.5 hours late. Neverthless, an eventful journey. This video is a compilation of the following skips - Nellore 0:40, Chirala 1:50, Tenali 2:15, Eluru 3:12, Tadepalligudem 4:50, Samalkot 5:43, Vizianagaram 7:08, Palasa 9:00, Bhadrakh 10:05. At that time, Bhadrakh was not under wires and still had semaphores. A Jumbo loco can be seen there as well.
