12617 even though running via KR, it diverts from PNVL. So that can be considered.
Sampark kranti is for connecting state with new delhi. And I don't think there is another route is present in kerala for new SK.
Why can't a new SMPK be introduced through Tvc-Ktym-Ern-Pgt to Nzm?
Kerala SK via KR is the shortest route possible via CDG & KCVL.
.
The train needs to be speeded up by atleast 2 hours on BSR-CDG stretch and 1 hour on the PNVL-KCVL stretch

There was a document posted few days back by a member (Acknowledgement :#1280985-Nikhil Khurana) on the proposals by NR as part of IRTTC 2019. One point of agenda in the document was a point on review of multiple stoppages of trains in Delhi area which leads to staggering of trains. The proposal was to curtails stoppage at only one terminal in Delhi area. Lots of trains like Sampark Kranti, KL ex are part of the list so if implemented at least hopefully some time might be reduced but may not have a huge impact. Screen shot attached.
