Definition :
A coach is also assigned a five-digit number which represents the year of manufacture (first two digits) and the serial number of the coach itself (next three digits). Wagons again are classified using alphabets but have a way different meaning than their passenger-carrying counterparts.
In the attached pic the Coach number is 168857/C
So the break up is as follows:
Year of manufacture of the Coach is 2016 (First two Digits 16)
Coach Serial Number :8857/C
LHB Generator Car Code : LWLRRM
For LHB the following codes will be used:
LWFAC : Ac 1st class
LWACCW : Ac 2nd class
LWFCWAC : 1A/2A
LWACCN : Ac 3 tier
LWSCN : SL
LWFCZAC : EC
LWSCZAC : CC
LWSCZ : 2S
LGS/LS :UR/GEN
LWCBAC : Pantry Car or AC Hot Buffet Car
