On a cold and wet early morning,Royapuram (RPM) White Stallion, WAP7 30644 gets coupled to Namma "Syndicate Bank" 12028 KSR Bengaluru-Chennai Central Shatabdi Express. One peculiar thing which I noticed after arrival at MAS was that when they were undoing the HOG coupling and removing those HOG wires, the EOG started letting lot of white smoke vertically above as if it was set on fire and a red light was flashing with a beep on the HOG port on the coach. The railway staff had a difficult time removing the HOG cable as they were watching the thick white smoke engulfing PF.No.4 at MAS.

In my experience, in the past 1.5 decades, SBC Shatabdi has been marginally cleaner and has better food, in typical SWR fashion. The only problem is the UP journey from MAS to SBC where it usually reaches a little late at night. On the other hand, MAS - MYS Shatabdi IMO is the more punctual one of the two, and with slightly more convenient timings. As for journey duration, both are literally the same, but SBC Shatabdi stops at BNC while the SR Shatabdi skips it.
