RPHDelhiTraMaEx~ 101 blog postsI am writing a message from Rampurhat, Birbhum, West Bengal about the Tarapith Temple which is situated in a village Tarapur which is only 9 Km away from Rampurhat Railway station (RPH).The Tarapith is regarded as one of the 52 Shakti Peethams of India. It is said to be so called because the eye ball (tara) of Sati fell here. Others say that Tarapith is not a pith but the place owes its sanctity to the fact that the Sage Basistha here worshipped the Goddes Sati in the form of Tara. The Kamakhya Temple in western part of Guwahati city in Assam is also one of the oldest of the Shakti Peethams. The Kamakhya Temple is well connected to the other part of India through direct train (example – Kamakhya-Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra Express, Kamakhya- Puri Express, Kamakhya –Ranchi Weekly Express, Kamakhya -Anand Vihar Weekly Express, Kamakhya –Mumbai LTT Karmabhoomi...

U want people from Baharampur to travel 70km to reach Rampurhat to take a train for Delhi but u urself don't want people of Rampurhat to travel the same distance to Barharwa to board the already existing trains for Delhi from BHW??

Without knowing properly.....You want to just pass worng comments & information. Even you didn't know the reason why this demand is arise?? You are hurry to write reply again. You have such a foolish attitude. Best of luck for that.
Well, if u r really concerned about Murshidabad then demand the train from some place of Murshidabad.
Farakka is just 20km longer from Baharampur than Rampurhat. (btw distances that u mentioned are wrong, Baharampur-Rampurrhat distance is 70km whereas Baharampur-Farakka distance is 90km) And more than distance, what matters more is the connectivity. Just check the frequency of buses to Farakka from Baharampur. It's nowhere comparable to the frequency of buses to Rampurhat. And for the people living in the Southern part of district, Bardhaman is more easily accessable to them from where they can easily take trains like Rajdhani, Wbsk and Poorva which takes much lesser time to reach Delhi.

I guess AZ can maintain only general type of coach. They cannot maintain sleeper or Ac coaches. Same happen with Bardhaman carshed and one of the carsheds at Howrah also.
I think after the Nasipur bridge comes up, Barahampur should be provided with pitline and dedicated trains can be started from there
