SanchiExpress~ 1167 blog postsDo we think over the years, with improvement of infrstructure, LHB coaches, electrification etc etc... did rail journey save time compare to couple of years ago ?.. Not specific to Raj or Shatabdi kind of trains (Though. BPL Shatabdi has been slowed down over years..)
Once example is Mahakoshal express.. it used to start at 16:20 from NZM and reached Gwalior around 21:05 and Jhansi around 20:45.. that too when it was not a superfast. Now, it starts at 16:05 from NZM and reaches Gwalior at 21:21, Jhansi at 23:00 with SF tag. Similar situation is with many other trains..

Not only Mahakoshal , there r numerous trains like this , all given SF taag irrespective of their punctuality without any / minor changes in their TT .
