Local Temples in & around Tirupati:-
1. Sri Govindarajaswamy Temple:
It is one of the ancient temples located in Tirupati near Railway Station consecrated by Saint Sri Ramanujacharya in the year 1130 A.D. The deity of Loard Sri Govindaraja here will be in a reclining pose. Temple Ph.No:- 0877 - 2264592.

temple dedicated to Sri Rama is situated within a distance of about a kilometre from Tirupati Railway Station. The temple was built to commemorate the visit of Sri Rama, Lakshmana & Sita to Tirupati, while returning from Lanka. Temple Ph.No:- 0877 - 2264584.
3. Sri Kapileswaraswamy Temple:
This shrine for Lord Siva is located at about 3 km from Tirupati town. As Kapila Maharshi installed the Sivalinga here, the deity is called Kapileswara and the tirtham is known as 'Kapila Tirtham'. Temple Ph.No:- 0877 - 2264587.
4. Alamelu Mangapuram (Tiruchanur):
Tiruchanur also known as Alamelu Mangapuram, located about 5kms from Tirupati is the abode of Goddess Sri Padmavathi Devi, the consort of Lord Venkateswara Swamy. The legend is that the goddess revealed herself on a lotus in the sacred temple tank, Padmasarovaram. Temple Ph.No:- 0877 - 2264585/2264586.
5. Srinivasa Mangapuram:
Srinivasa Mangapuram, a small village, about 12 km from Tirupati where the presiding deity Sri Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy Temple is located. Legends say that Lord after his marriage with Padmavathi Devi stayed here for sometime before proceeding to Tirumala. The shrine was renovated by Tallapaka Chinna Tiruvengatanatha in the 16th century. Temple Ph.No:- 0877 - 2264588.
6. Narayanavanam:
Narayanavanam is a small town about 22 kms south east of Tirupati. A shrine dedicated to Kalyana Venkateswara Swamy is located here. Puranas & legends claim that Lord Venkateswara Swamy married Padmavathi Devi, the daughter of Akasa Raja, at this place & to commemorate this, Akasa Raja built the temple here.
7. Nagalapuram:
The sacred temple dedicated to Lord Veda Narayana Swamy is located about 65 km south east of Tirupati. The Sanctorm houses an image of the Matsyavatara form of Vishnu accompanied by Sri Devi & Bhu Devi on either side. Sun worship is an important aspect in this Temple.
8. Appalayagunta:
The temple of Lord Sri Prasanna Venkateswara Swamy is located here, 15 km from Tirupati. The idols of Goddess Padmavathi & Sri Andal are also seen in this ancient temple.
9. Sri Venugopala Swamy Temple, Karvetinagaram:
Karvetinagaram is near to Puttur at a distance of 58 km from Tirupati. The temple here is dedicated to Lord Venugopala Swamy with Rukmini & Satyabhama.
10. Vayalpadu:
The ancient temple dedicated to Lord Sri Rama is located here. Vayalpadu is about 100 kms from Tirupati.
