A New Poll.please comment. (IR to plan all proposed train Timings should be in between 7 PM to 10 PM Departure and 5 to 9 AM Arrival and major cities only. like SC-VSKP,SC-MAs, SC-SBC, MMCT-ADI,NDLS-SVDK,HWH-BSP etc)
As All of you know how Pvt travels Volvos are running full aleast 80% in between main cities, railways has also to do some thing to catch them.

No one would want to travel in a seating overnight train, it is in the mindset of people. A Superfast overnight sleeper train with all classes is the only best bet to counter the bus traffic in my opinion.
In my opinion , to compete with omni buses particularly in TN ( like ms-mdu stretch ) pandiyan takes 7.50hours with all the main stops and it arrives before the schedule most of the time ...And omni buses on the other hand takes 7 to 8 hours inspite of traffic from cmbt,perungalathur,vandalur because of rash driving . People prefer trains than omni buses but the unavailability of tickets in trains forces them to take omni buses ... Huge number of omni buses are being operated in this route ... But there are some good number of passengers take ac sleeper buses frequently ... For eg people are ready to spend 1000 rs for any ac travel now a days ... Friday from Chennai and Sundays from madurai , festival days are the jackpot days for omnis .. mas- mdu ac express wins in this spot because of the operation days (...
