I can understand your feelings....as you r a localite there so you have some feelings...it is OK. But according to me these name changes are not at all required just wastage of money.....i was also not agreed when Mughalsarai name was changed to Pt Deendayal upadhyay.... according to me Mughalsarai was the best name instead of pt deendayal upadhyay.......similarly gomoh was good instead of adding netaji subhash chandra bose to it.....also Allahabad was the best name and based on present situation of IR these expenditures are not really required at this stage.

These kind of unnecessary name changes of stations are just Political gimics of government or political parties to use local people centiments in votebanks. And this tradition is comming on in India for long and done earlier also by other political parties. I think the names of stations should be done in such a manner so that people from all over India can identify and well known to them not only names which only local people know because Railway stations are used not only by local people but also by people from all over India. Say for eg: recently there was a name change of Mughalsarai to Pt Deendayal upadhyay stn. Now Mughalsarai is a well known and popular name easily identifyable name among people of India. But by giving Pt Deendayal upadhyay name to this station except local passengers no other peoples can identify it easily it. And...

William bhai had once said, what's in a name!! Though I hope IR would also work for early completion of DFC so that the reputation of Prayagraj Division can get a makeover too.
