With the inauguration of Tr. No. 16595 from 8th March 2020, I read widely across media that its good news to travelers from Bangalore to Goa. Though the train board has YPR - KAWR - VSG mentioned on it. I guess there is no direct ticket / adv resv available online on irctc website from YPR to MAO. Though I found out from NTES website that the YPR - KAWR reached around 90 mins late to KAWR today and the onward train from KAWR to VSG departed KAWR only after the YPR - KAWR reached KAWR. Therefore, I have a few questions - if anyone can help -
a) If the rakes are same, can we buy journey extension tkts on

board from KAWR to MAO / VSG
b) Does the same train go further up to VSG or does one have to change train
c) Why is ticket not issued directly from YPR to MAO / VSG
d) Is e-catering available on board?
e) Since its a daily train a Pantry car could have been a boon to passengers both ways.

That is exactly my point and why I was confused after finding that irctc does not allow direct YPR to MAO/VSG tkt bookings in this train - that I decided to create this thread and ask for opinions from members here.

The DEMU was cancelled to make way for the new express train.
This is how IR typically extends trains. They merge the train with some other existing train and do the extension.
Many popular trains were extended by cancelling slow passenger trains and merging the time slots.

Yes politics is involved and The train was launched in a hurry. By seeing the timetable one can easily guess it was suppose to be a Vasco train reservations termination at kawr just a diversion tactic for cancellation of earlier dedicated train. In coming days its highy possible that it might get a proper extension till Vasco

Thanks for this. I hope that it will be going in that direction as you have mentioned - and after all it will be for the benefit of the general public, who actually use these trains.
