One of the train to Odisha from Bengaluru today. A ICE rake seriously. Well nothing is better than anything they have a very long way back home

yes, they have to arrange it. As most trains have AC coaches, they have to shunt them out from the rake. So they are doing with what resources they have at the helm. Also around 5000 coaches are converted to isolation coaches (as standby) so thats a big deficiency too.
Most coaches are going to be pulled out of covid program and if I'm not wrong railway's may introduce 2 tier Sleeper In sometime
ya, Chairman RB, said that around 50% coaches turned to isolation wards will be back into service as of now. Rest will remain for sometime. I don't think will introduce 2 tier SL, but yes, they have started booking for GS coaches (as 2S), & only bonafide pax to enter stations, so it can be said that pax not more than no. of berths will be present (obviously RAC will be extra).
My opinion -ve about 2 tier SL coaches because, if they had to do it, they could have done now but they are indeed booking MB in covid spls. If apprehensive about removal of MBs in isolation coaches, which will be put to service, then thats not a major problem. Fixing 18 berths will indeed require time, but not much as they don't have to change the structure, just fix the MBs
What I said is based on swarajmag article click here if introduced obviously the fare would higher or equavalent to 3a. Should see what happens, not converting saves time , re-convertion in need and money but yes 18 berth won't cause much of a issue
