To be very frank,this day was a day full of excitement and eager for many people in the world as Avengers Infinity War's release the next day.But the not the same reason for a railfan like me who was excited not for the film's release,but for a 1584 km journey that was going to happen the next day.It was a journey that I planned to do the previous year itself,ended up being postponed by a year!
Luggages packed and done,was geared up for the trip.The next thing to do was to get a good night's sleep before the journey oops alarm rings :D But that didn't actually happen :p
27-04-2018,Friday aka D-Day
Then what,woke up 1 hr before the alarm could ring,sat on the bed thinking about the trip.A small twist,moms' used to wake everyone in the home,but for a change I woke up my mom that day :D .And at 02:30 hrs in the night,"Saapadu Kadai"(A term used to denote that the preparation of foods had begun,in a large scale actually) started.I kinda prefer home-made food.
Took an auto at 04:00 a.m. to TPJ,reached there in no time thanks to the nil traffic early morning roads.And at PF-1,the rake was parked.I was awestruck by the sublime vinyls :) .Yes,the 22498 Tiruchchirappalli-Shri Ganganagar Humsafar was the train we were going to take all the way until Kalyan.Went inside the coach,placed the luggage and took some brief clicks of the train and bade farewell to my dad who came to say good bye for some days.A loud and a long honk by a Pune ALCo(I didn't go to check the loco road number and the class then,as I was still in 9th grade :p )started the proceedings and the journey started :)
