Bally station is increasing day by day. Also after completion of Dakhineswar Metro station more passengers will deboard at Bally for Dakhineswar Metro and smooth entry to full Kolkata. Looking at this rising demand:
1. Belur Bypass New line is going to get constructed Tender called by ER, to connect HWH-BDC line directly with Belurmath route. Howrah to Belurmath already connected and EMU trains are running since many years now.
2. Number of platform going to get increased at Belurmath station.

After completing these 2 projects, more EMU locals directly from BELURMATH to BANDEL, BELURMATH to BARDDHAMAN, BELURMATH to TARAKESWAR is going to run.
