I had booked a ticket from IRCTC but by mistake I mentioned male instead of female. how can i edit the ticket.?

Not possible to edit will have to cancel and rebook.
Or what you could do is use this ticket and take your id proof and try and convince the TC that incorrect sex mentioned is due to a mistake but its risky.
