A photo from Peter Lemmey India tour of 1985, here on the then-metre gauge cross-country line from Guntur to Guntakal (400kms) of the South Central Railway. We left Guntur at 0820 in the morning and only got in to Guntakal well after dark, but a most enjoyable day's run with steam all the way. This station is Chelama, on the steep climb through the Nallamala Hills; the YG Class 2-8-2 pauses while a red and yellow trolley is removed from the guard's compartment.
