I think within 2 to 3 years WAP-4 will be extinct just like WAM-4

They may be utilised for freight movement on Main lines and not DFC and shunting duties/they might be given for training of new ALPs and LPs
SER already made 3-4 pairs of triplets using KGP P4s, Which are the regular hauler of coal and Iron ore in this region.
As many of the non hog wap7s are being convert to HOG all the wap5s should also be converted into the same.
I still love WAP-4, day before yesterday i was travelling in 02173 and it got ET P-4 as always and what a run it gave 🔥🔥 110 with P-4 feels way more soothing than 130 with P-7 🙌
