Commissioner of Railway Safety (CRS) conducted High speed trial in newly gauge converted (From Meter gauge to Broad gauge) 3rd line from Guduvancheri to Tambaram. Now the line is fit and use for passenger service. Watch the glimpse of High Speed trial conducted on 21 Oct 2021.

The old meter gauge line was removed and new broad gauge was laid and that is now 3rd line between TBM - CGL
