Which city you are talking about? Ayodhya was never renamed Faizabad!! I replied over possibility to retain historic name of cities!! But what about cities which never exist in pre-muslim regime for historical name reference (your calling it indigenous readily accepts their non existence)!!
@CAA: Faizabad is well known city & none got any issue to connect it with Ayodhya so far...but if it was about traveler comfort then DDU/SBC must never get changed & BSB not MUV has to retain as Benaras!!
