Doing GC as usual i.e. Ground level vs elevated lines.
Advantage of the later option are:
1) no severe speed restriction like 20/30 kmph. Faster train operation possible.
2) No tension for Locopilot to blow horn and keep extra vigilant eye while crossing the section

Lesser journey time/ faster average speed of section.
4) Much higher sectional capacity i.e. can run more trains on the route
5) Opportunity for IR to straighten the curves and improve track geometry in the section thereby removal of any permanent speed restriction and making section fit for Semi High Speed train operation in future.
Going by above, even a higher investment for elevated tracks seems to be justified
