Nostalgia: I have a paculiar remembrance of this station when I was around 12 years old when we were traveling from NDLS to Chakki Bank and had boarded the then famous Jhelum (Now I call it Zaalim since this experience). My parents were to attend a funeral and they didn't have anyone to babysit us so they got us along to attend the same at Pathankot. We boarded Jhelum from NDLS under the impression that we will reach early until we reach KALA BAKRA. The single line high volume route meant that trains were regulated at many small stations. We were halted at Kala Bakra and many trains overtook us (Malwa is only which I remember) which we didn't board thinking Jhelum will reach early. After a four and a half hour wait we were given green to proceed. Till date I recall that wait and the way people were restless...
