Not always true. From common people stand point it feels 3 days but its not actually three days, Infact the day you waste without work is 1 day in this train cause it leaves at night - you sleep at night and the whole day journey (1 day wasted) and next day early morning reaches the destination - so you could do your work successfully. If its 2 days 1 night - then 2 days are wasted completely . So present time table is good. Hope this explains your question.
