After 12 long years, the much awaited Madurai - Theni route was inaugurated today after gauge conversion. Honorable Prime Minister Inaugurated the new gauge converted line via video conferencing. First train was flagged off today (26 May 2022) Here i travelled from Madurai to Teni on it's first day Regular run. Do watch and enjoy the show.

Fearing safety for 12637/38. The way IR is working now, 12637/38 may see extension to Teni. #PlzDontExtendPandiyanExpress
Nope it won't go to Teni. Proposed extension is 20601/20602. Pandian and Vaigai are always Madurai trains and it gets filled more than it's capacity at Madurai itself, so extension is not possible.
I don't believe in IR anymore. They made all Memu Trains into Express
