You'll find max TATA buses in HRTC.
In South Ashley is much preferred.
Personally I also love Ashley engine.
It's more refined and love the whistle sound it makes when negotiating ghats. 🤩🤩

But I've experienced in taptapani ghat in odisha
A bus trip from brahmapur to gunupur
Engine was struggling a lot when the ghat began to ascend
It was a Tata chassis

When I visited Tirumala in class 12, I remembered having travelled by a similar APSRTC Tata 6 geared bus (pic for reference, not mine). It was climbing ghats very well & didn't struggle.
But Tata bus struggles a lot in odisha
