SAPTARSHI^~ 26395 blog postsIn pre-covid period, weekend evenings at Howrah used to witness the departure of the fastest connection to Delhi. It was a delight to see the longer ICF 130 train, the track-sounds were op! The sleeper coaches of this train are scrapped, the Chair Cars are POHed and parked somewhere in Katwa line.

And yet, some people will call "কেন্দ্রের বঞ্চনা/লাঞ্ছনা of Bengal" a farce... Wake up and smell the coffee! No state is deliberately discriminated as much as Bengal (in all aspects, you name it...).
Because the Sleeper coaches have retired and people take Chair car coaches as last preference. Yuva was the only profit making train in the Group perhaps. Better to demand to make SDAH Duronto 5 days instead of 4 days.
Railways will do away with concept of Yuva Trains soon, after retirement of WR Yuva rake.

Was this train a profit making train/had a large nos. of folks using it? I have little idea since I haven't seen a single Yuva train running; there are so few of them. The concept of using Chair Cars for overnight journeys seem off putting, even though the original HWH Rajdhani had it when it ran fifty years ago.
As per Railway Audit, AC 3 tier is the class that makes the most profits.
It had AC 3 tier & AC chair car which I think can lead to fair assumption that the train was profitable or atleast recovered the costs.
