RoyalIndianRailways 465 blog postsRayalaseema express started in year 1977 from hyd to tpty via krnt hx , In 1998 rayalaseema express via diverted via rc vkd route due to gauge conversion in sc-dhne line . In 2001 , rayalaseema express was permeantly diverted via vkd ,rc . Later this train was extended to nzb ,. In 1990's This train was used to run via krnt as krnt is biggest city and heart of rayalaseema region, this train was named as rayalaseema express.now this train not running via krnt , So this train should run via krnt in old route again . Or this train name should change from rayalaseema to( NEELADRI /vrushabhadri) one hill name of seven hills in tirupati.and a new dedicated train should start between hyb-tpty via krnt with name Rayalaseema express.

After gauge conversion, there was proposal to extend Brinda to Mysore & Tippu to Chennai, it didn't materialise
Brinda acts as connecting train , during MG era , between SBC - MYS, tippu used to wait for Brinda if it ( Brinda ) gets delayed & there used to be announcement at SBC, Mysore bound passengers please proceed to PF No... Tippu is waiting for you . Even now it is connecting train

venkatadri ran with a full rake since beginning ... whereas Rayalseema is a slip rake - half f coaches from tpty and other half frm kolhapur till last decade.
Rayalseema is nw running with a full rake and s well patronized round d year .. and so is venkatadri . its meaningless to ask to swap.... and will be achieved only in Iri through imaginary trains. and bdw by what demographics are u saying krnt is n heart of RS .... lol...
