I saw in some article that Kulem section might be double track.. if that happens then running VB in that section would be worth it and to some extent MPS can be increased.... and speed restrictions.. I agree to ur point..

My worry is that covering 1288kms (644 up and 644 down) within a day, will it work??? Especially with the current scene after crossing Londa Jn and before Sanvordem?? Cause I vaguely remember Kulem-Sanvordem section MPS is somewhere less than 100km/hr... till Londa it could be possible... after that it

would drastically reduce the speed and the time to reach MAO would be difficult..... this is my point of view.....

Surely railway is strengthening railway tracks and then Bangaluru - Madgaon VB can be a good option for commuters as well as tourists. There are some work pending but after completion of the route 1300 Kms (UP & DOWN) can be covered. Already NDLS - BSB is covering the distance more than 700 Kms.

Agree
This will most likely happen given Karnataka is going into elections next year....all the more chances for that. With two Vandebharat trains at least 5 major towns/cities get covered in Karnataka. Bangalore, Mysore, Hubbali, Dharward and Belgavi.

Yes u r correct that NDLS BSB 1 way is more than 700kms to be precise 759kms... but I guess not much elevation is there in that train except for 1 station just before Prayagraj Jn which is 309m above sea level... so that won't matter very much.... let's see what's gonna happen...

As of now... u would have read the article here that proposed SBC Dharwad is now being extended to Belagavi... if everything goes well.. why not?? We can hear another extension down to MAO and have VB

Pls correct the mistake I mentioned regarding the zones... it'll be only SWR and KR... not SR as that's a long route... My bad....

Not only that, little off-topic from IRI, but the CM of Karnataka is planning to inaugurate as much Namma Metro lines as possible before his term gets over... so we may see many inaugural runs in Karnataka.... FYR (reference) have a look at this article:-
