more... Bharat Express, which is planned to run on the Udhampur-Srinagar-Baramulla Rail Link (USBRL). This move suggests a possible announcement of the Vande Bharat service connecting Kashmir to the rest of India before the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. The USBRL is expected to be operational in early 2024, with plans to introduce Vande Bharat trains along the entire stretch and Vande Metro trains between Jammu and Srinagar. This will significantly reduce travel time between Jammu and Srinagar to 3.5 hours, compared to the current seven-hour road journey.

Isse Jammu aur Srinagar ke beech travel time 3.5 hours tak kam ho jayega, jo ki aaj kal seven hours ka road journey hai.
