This is my experience from last year, 19th Jun. My home is at Bharuch and I had taken admission in Bhopal. Booked tickets in 11463 Somnath Jabalpur Express which then used to leave at 9 pm from Vadodara(BRC). From BH to BRC, I decided against taking the Karnavati Express which left BH at around 6:25 pm and arrived BRC at 7:25 pm,leaving an hours time to wait. Also as it was a Sunday, I expected it to be very crowded. Instead, decided on taking the 69111 ST-BRC Memu. It left BH only about 5 mins late at 7:10 pm and I was confident that I would reach BRC in time to catch 11463. Was travelling in this train for first time and really had no idea what was in store for me. Everything was going on smoothly till about 8:30 pm when the train stopped before Vishvamitri for a good 10-15...

mins, before slowly crawling into Vishvamitri. It was 8:45 pm and train started again and I heaved a sigh of relief thinking I would be in BRC in another 5 mins and would have enough time to catch the next train. But my relief was short lived. Train came to a halt again about 2 kms from BRC. My tension started to rise. 8:50 pm , train starts again only to stop again. This happened 2-3 more times and time was already 8:58 pm and we were about a km away from station. I had already lost all hopes of catching my train. Train started moving slowly without stopping this time. Just enquired from a co-passenger who said that the train would halt at platform 2 while 11463 would leave from platform 4. I pulled my 2 big bags near the door, ready to jump and run to catch the other train. The train slowly pulled into pf 2 at 9:02 pm. When the train slowed down considerably, I jumped out and made a run to the foot over-bridge, praying to god that 11463 is delayed by 5 mins. My admission to the college was at stake if I missed the train. Hoping for the best, reached pf 4 in 2 mins but found no train there. My heart sank for a moment for I believed that I had missed the train. Then immediately I heard an announcement and heaved a sigh of relief "Gaadi no. 11463 thodi hi der mein pf no 4 par aa rahi hai". What a relief!!!
From that day I decided to always take Karnavati Express from BH to BRC and wait for an hour at BRC rather than taking risk of 69111.
