Tbh SR should run a few more trains from TVC, MAS, MDU via different routes towards NJP, GHY, MLDT , AZ but seems like they are not interested in connecting their region with West Bengal/North East. All trains from West Bengal to south are mostly run by SER & NFR

God knows when that line will come up (in how many years), plus at best it'll be a single line which'll probably be good enough to support freight trains and a handful no. of local/MEMU trains only may be (again depends on ER's mood). But without any route change or muchtiming change, this could be a perfect daily connection from Bengal to Kerala (with touchbase at Kolkata/HWH), maintaining MPS at 110-130 kmph (not possible via some random Sripat Srikhanda).

Train departs BLGT at 20:40 as usual, passes MLDT at 23:00, AZ
...
at 01:25, Bandel to HWH 40 km section can be speeded up, such that it reaches HWH by 05.30 and departs by 05:50 (after 05:45 Duronto), and exactly 39 hours later (standard avg time between HWH and ERS via PER), it reaches ERS at around 21:00 - 21:15 hours the next day (running ahead of 22670 timings)!

Likewise it can depart 16:15 from ERS (shortly following 12625 Kerala SF and run ahead of 22640), reach HWH the third day at 07:30 (after the entire brigade of weekly/biweekly Odisha trains and Hatia Kriyayoga), and depart as usual towards BLGT at 07:50... If this train is controlled by NFR, then comfortable 27 hours PM time at BLGT! (but will require 6 rakes; lesser if controlled by SR with RSA, but only couple of hours to turn around in BLGT)...

If ERS cannot handle a new train so many additional rakes, better to hand it over to KCVL. I mean, options are wide open!

Yes, your proposal is good but this train 13063/64 has good ticket availability even in peak Puja season also so if it runs till Kerala then it will be exhausted & Load on Tebhaga , BLGT SDAH will increase very much & they are not having 20 coaches also. So any extension of SER train may be possible if they feel that there is too much congestion in SRC, PDPK etc or a new train by SR may be the best option I think

SER seems to have ZERO NEW SPACE for new trains (be it at SRC or PDPK, and that's why the turn around times are so huge in exisiting SER trains - still there is abysmal delay in departure of all trains departing from HWH/SHM/SRC - leading to further delays, and more delays and so on... cascading and loop effect.

You may think that Malda, Azimganj, Rampurhat are least prioritized railway divisions or sections, wait till you see the condition of India's WORST RAILWAY ZONE - The Great South Eastern Railway, and especially

its KGP Division! These divisions are only interested to mint money by running freight, passenger train services are like they are doing charity for us all! Dirtiest of trains, zero maintenance, no place to park trains (that's why many rakes are parked as far as Panskura!), no interest to quadruple the much demanded SRC - KGP line, severe wastage of space at SHM yard, lowest EMU/MEMU services, incomplete terminals at SHM & SRC for over a decade, no augmentation of services towards Digha or Haldia or anywhere else (by increasing track count)... think of anything bad, and you can relate SER to it!

You think those useless Babus sitting at Garden Reach or KGP are even least bit bothered about the plight of daily passengers and those who want to travel interstate from Bengal? I cannot write much using accurate adjectives, or else IRI moderators will again send me one more pink slip - deleting my post...

So I seriously doubt SER will be taking one more new train (or will be increase frequency of its exisiting trains) - see the condition of the trains to Kerala and Goa and elsewhere, despite demands of daily trains for years together, absolutely NOTHING! Better to bypass via HWH (ER). Ideally Maldah/BLGT/North Bengal should have its own trains to Kerala/South India via Dankuni, but then Kolkata (HWH/SDAH) as a transport hub would lose a lot... Seriously 'wish our ER & SER Railway zones were as efficient as CR & WR zones as in Mumbai/Maharashtra...
