Yes, the CC usually fills up some days earlier prior to the travel date however, unless it's a festive season, one can find 2S tickets easily one to two days before the travel/due date.
12531/2 once used to start at 0600 hrs from GKP, I think and reach LJN at 1100 hrs. However, increased stoppages at SWA and BV, plus the new fondled OT by VB means that the TT had to be relaxed.

There is also the overnight Nauchandi express that covers the Lucknow-Meerut sector [though it doesn't originate from LKO]. I think they have been using the rakes for MTC-LKO VB for LKO-CPR VB Special as well, right?
