KeepTravelling^~ 10758 blog postsThe so-called premium Duronto Express encountered significant operational issues when its WAP-7 locomotive failed near Ghaziabad. After reaching Dadri, a WAG-9 was substituted, limiting the train's speed to 100 km/h despite the section's 130 km/h capability. The train was repeatedly moved to loop lines at smaller stations, leading to at least 15 other trains overtaking it, including the Farakka Express. It's particularly concerning that, despite Ghaziabad being a major hub with one of the largest electric loco sheds in the country, an alternative WAP-7 could not be provided.

TDR filing is not applicable in case of late running of train and passenger has travelled...
BKN-SDAH, Load-21B/LHB) Train stopped at DER station due to starter danger then LP checked & found wheel no-5 & 6 brake assembly tie rode broken condition ALP side & hanging.R/Loco given, IOH-08.08.24,TI/NKJ- 03.10.24 , Major/Sec-GZB-TDL, Minor/Sec-DER. Time-21.11-22.10 hrs, IGBT, SR-BR & BUR- BHEL, Pneu-FTIL, Loco at DER & plan to move GZB/ELS.Joint report-Tie rode broken from weilding point.
WAG9 is also Capable of Hauling trains to 130 kmph but isn't cleared by RB for such operations, Seriously don't know why not dont yet? Its a complete undertilization of Resources, if RB knows that Passenger locos are heavily burdened then Goods loco should be cleared for 130 kmph for rescue purposes
