The main delay is caused by SER and SECR. Even LHB trains get delayed as they have been seen prioritizing freights more than pax trains. So I'm not sure whether priority and punctuality improves or not...

See the condition , even after multitracking , still SECR and SER are not giving priority to passengers. In future Howrah to Mumbai via Nagpur I think so will be the longest 4 line rail route.
Even EAST WEST DFC from Palghar to Kharagpur is much needed.
